Mangosteen’s rind has anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial,anti-fungal and anti-tumor activity. It also appears to have anti-histamine and anti-inflammatory properties. The active therapeutic compound found in Mangosteen bas been named “xanthones” . Mangoosteen grows only in the Philippines, Tahiland, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam and Southern part of India.
